On my walk to the Euston Cemetery yesterday there was a yellow sign just short of the cemetery for Centre Trail. This was new to me and immediately I wondered how far and where it went. I decided that there was tomorrows walk sorted.

Why it was called a trail I am not to sure. I think a track would have been more apt. I followed the dirt car track inland for a few kilometres past sprawling trees

old trees

through dead trees

past the abandoned

before arriving at the river

There was a sign at a bush roundabout that pointed to Two Mile Trail. I was tempted to explore that track but with my sense of direction I decided to stick with my original plan and put that one in the another day basket. I then left the track to follow the river bank.

I was rewarded for walking on with the remains of what appeared to be an old homestead. There was a tumbled down corrugated building and a small bare concrete block. Behind this there seemed to be once a small yard with the remains of weathered posts and rusted wire still visible.

Just past here was an old marker. I have never seen one like this before. I am assuming B M stood for Boundary Marker and NSW New South Wales maybe the 136 the number of the parcel of land.

The river was wide and beautiful, as was the day. I walked on around the next bed and my fit bit hit the 7 k mark.

I sat on a branch of a tree root devoid of ants and had a drink of water. I wanted to continue on but realised that I still had my journey back. It was not going to rain today. The sky was clear, the sun light, it was a beautiful day but I decided I should head back.

This is the last of my tree series lol. I had a wonderful two weeks walking Robinvale and Euston. The trees are like people, the same but different or are they like snowflakes no two the same.
